So I made this over the weekend. Kind of a self challenge to make an animation in 48 hours. It’s super short but was a lot of fun to make.
I was lucky enough to see Noam Chomsky speak this week. I was even luckier to get a chance to photograph him! He has a very soft-spoken manner about him, but his arguments are powerful. What a great experience.
What if Star Trek had sports teams?
We thought we’d try to imagine what they would look like!
These ideas came proudly from dsp8ty and michpalmer! Here are the designs on Behance.
You can get prints/shirts here: http://society6.com/MichPalmer
Let us know if you have any ideas for more sports teams! We might just make them! (2 more are coming soon)
Angry fanboy time again! On the top picture. I love it I think its great but “Kronos” is not spelled like that. This is the real spelling: Qo’nos
I nitpick I know, but Star Trek everything to me
Ahhh! I knew that was going to bother some people. I was debating which way to spell it but opted for the more anglicized version to help with pronunciation. If you ever want a print or anything I’ll upload the Qo’nos version for ya!
This is the distort map layer I used for the Bradford Cox Poster I made awhile back. I was looking over the file because I am using the same technique for a different project, and I thought it looked kinda cool on its own.
I made this clip. Woo! Getting the hang of simple animations.
I’m not technically in SOMA anymore. But that club is awesome and they are bringing Atlas Sound (Bradford Cox of Deerhunter) to Penn State this coming Saturday. (For those of you in PA: Here is the event page )
I’m not designing the event flyer. BUT I’m addicted to designing these things. So I figured there’s nothing wrong with making a commemorative poster, right? Right? Right.
Anyways. I caved. It’s not official, but I gotta admit I’m pretty proud of this one. Aaand I made a few different color variations. (Because I can never settle on just one)
Hope you guys like it. And if you can make it to this show, it’s free, so GO. Some really talented bands are opening.
