I think Beach House just ousted Beyonce’ for best Music Video of All Time. Of all time!
If you’ve never listened to this podcast, THIS is the episode to listen to.
The future: where you share playlists digitally, or if you really want to impress someone, you print them a mixtape vinyl.
Amanda Palmer on music, connection, and trust.
Yeah it’s pretty solid.
The Jesus and Mary Chain are releasing a paint splattered vinyl edition of Psychocandy on Record Store Day 2013. Limited to 1,000 copies or something. So yeah, you and I are never getting this. Just those lucky assholes who are somehow employeed by the last existing independent record stores on earth….which are probably right around 1000 people.
Hey, if you’re in a band or you know anyone who is, and you’re located at a distance where a small amount of cash would get you to Penn State - University Park, you should apply for Arts Crawl. Arts Crawl is a festival celebrating all medias of art. We have about 25 opening/local acts with a headliner (that I don’t think I’m allowed to announce yet - the man sucks, amirite?), and we are looking for more acts. So tell your friends, band members, or even yourself to visit the link below, and if you’re diggin’ the vibe of Arts Crawl to apply. (The application form is all explained on the Facebook event)
PS - I know the event ended, but we are still accepting applications. Look for a status on the event to let you know when the deadline for applications will be. (won’t be for a bit yet)
If you live in PA or anywhere near PA, you have no excuse not to go to this event. It’s free and excellent. It’s freexcellent. I would argue it’s one of the (very) few legitimate reason you should visit Penn State.
And if you’re a band or a performer, I do not understand how you wouldn’t apply to this. It just makes no sense.
